Wired, ignorant or just lazy

I really wonder why Wired News totally seems to ignore the non-English language blogosphere. Are they ignorant or just lazy?

Wired.com is a freelancer driven news site. If you feel that a certain issue isn't being addressed by it, you can write it yourself. Of course, there is the task of convincing them to accept it. I think the coverage on OJR is fantastic.

I remember a few years ago in Tehran's international computer and electronics fair, a software company from city of Esfahan had produced a very reliable Persian-to-English translation software. They claimed the software is able to produce high-quality formal translation of Persian text into English. Does anyone remember the name of the company? They may agree to put some of their software functionality online for Persian bloggers.

In my experience, Pierce is right. I'd love to read the other within Iran, but I can't because I don't know the language. It is too bad, because what I have seen and read is just amazing in terms of real information. It is pretty amazing to me that hardly a word has been mentioned about Sina's arrest in the news here. But within the blogsphere there's a ton in info. Talking about revolutionary! The world has not seen yet what good will come from this unleashed blogging. But for us to appreciate, learn, and to persuade or be persuaded, we have to have reliable well written translations. A big job. If you are as eloquent in the language these wonderful young Iranians use as you are in English - you the man!

Hey dude, if babelfish can't translate it, I can't read it either. I wish you'd get on the stick and translate some of the better blog entries from persian sites. :-)
