First, since when is the BBC the paragon of truth in the news media?
Secondly, I seriously doubt a handful (at best) of Iranians are truly expressing the thoughts of "Iranians all over the world."
I get better info at the Iran Press Service.

"Patronizing," eh? And, Amr--if this is your real name--may I have some evidence that you are anything other than a loser?

I saw a mention of this on the BBC broadcast on the CBC this weekend. What struck me as odd was the tone of the comments by "iranians" posted to the BBC site. Four out of six comments mentioned "freedom" in some form or other and 2 actually talked about Allah and Paradise and some such.
What struck me as odd was the completely different tone that the Iranian bloggers and independent journalists have taken from what was depicted on BBC.
I don't think the Iranian Students need any patronizing from the usurping LOSER like Dubya.

"Bush 'crushed' the movement by his 'Axis of Evil' speech and is continuing to do so," this was the opinion expressed by "Saeed" from Australia.
Do people think before they write such things? The movement has been "crushed." Hmmm, then I must check the reception on my satellite, because the movement looks pretty healthy to me. Now, I'm not a sophisticated french intellectual or anything, but if I remember correctly the Soviet empire fell shortly after that simpleton Ronald Reagan had the audacity to call a spade a spade. I bet the majority of the protesters (and this is reflected in the posts at the BBC) are galvanized by supportive statements from the US.
