Bush benefits from terrorist attacks, like Sharon does

Atlantic's Patrick Buchanan asks in "Four More Years?":

But events may conspire to kill Democratic hopes. If some terrorist horror on the scale of 9/11 occurs, how many Americans will rise as one man to cry, "Get me Howard Dean"? Will they not, rather, reflexively rally to the tough guys who win wars—Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld, Powell—just as Israelis rally to Ariel Sharon each time a new atrocity is perpetrated by Hamas?

I need your help in exposing some local terrorists. One is named J.C. McCord a cop and KKK member that is involved in drug dealing, drug smuggling, rape of young gilrs, murder of black people and much more. He is being protected by the leader of the kkk a State Judge named Vincent who is really doing the drug smuggling. They are trying to kill me and my witness Angela Boles because we know too much and we are trying to expose them. Please contact me and leave a email address and I can send you more info. Thank you, Douglas Johnson convony4000@yahoo.com (281)386-3140

What does "rebuilding Iraq" means? they have all infrastructures and all civilities that anyother country does have. All US needs to do is arranging a governmet and appearntly, now they have realized, that they are not able to manage that task. Why should the UN take the responsibilty for that?

There is one fact(no not even a fact) that I can not easily ignore... We ( humans) think that our intelligance has brought us a quality life, but, to be honest dolphins are have better quality lives than what we do... I was rereading a news about the genocide in Rwanda in 1994 ( just 9 years ago).. 800,000 living souls were killed in just 100 days.. unbelieveable.. and look at the coverage from the media almost very little. now go and check 9-11, it is not a day that u dont hear that over 100 times.. look to this digits... go to google.com and search for rwanda genocide, the reasult is 133,000 pages... now search september 11, the reasult is..over 7 million pages ( and u add a varity of that, 9-11, 9/11 etc.. the reasult would be more pages) .. how many people died in 9-11? less tha 2700... so simple... tragic death of 2700 people reflected in over 7 million pages, but when u look at the africa.. death of 800,000 just 133,000 pages... Thats how the media cover the Truth...

It's interesting: The number of people who die in domestic violance (such as suicide bombing, sniper shot, ...) in the whole middle-east is much less than the United States! Ahhh those ignorant people... Perhaps CIA funds wars in the middle-east because they're jelous :-)

I bought the Persian translation of Noam Chamsky's book "Understanding Power" in Tehran (title in Persian: "Fahm e Ghodrat"). I strongly recommend it to all fellow Iranians to buy and read it. It's the collection of his speeches about Media, Corporate America and US Foreign Policy. The original book was published in the 90's and covers many interesting topics, including lots of in-depth information about the Middle-east peace process, The Iran-Contra issue, etc.

Just a few comments: [=1=] First of all, CNN, Fox, CBS and all mainstream American media report what is beneficial for their organisation, which is not necessarily the truth. It's very painful to see the majority of Americans believe in what they read in their media. It's very simple, look who owns those huge media companies. The way the work is exactly like GM or BMW, their products bring money to their companies and owners. This is exactly what Iran Broadcasting company (IRIB) does. But there is one big exception: Almost all Iranians know IRIB news is crap, so everyone seeks news through alternative channels. [=2=] People around the world are similar, they all have one head, one brain, two arms, two legs, they 'almost' agree on the meaning of good and bad, etc. Have you (American guy, David Morrison, other Americans) ever asked yourself why for example so many palestinians blow themselves up? Did you simply convince yourself that "people in that region are simply crazy, they kill themselves and their neighbours, and if they get boats they will come and kill us as well"? If the answer is yes, you have watched too much hollywood films like "Alien", where intelligent aliens who even have space ships only want to kill humans for no reason. Believe me, it's not difficult to find the answer for the above questions. I'm sure there are enough resources available on internet alone. If you have ever done any kind of academic research, this one will be the easiest research ever. [=3=] See next post...

here is the book.."When you ride alone, you ride with Bin Ladenare driving alone, What the Government Should Be Telling Us to Help Fight the War on Terrorism by Bill Maher"... well go and take a look at this book, I am not telling this book is totally negative like there are some really good examples for protecting our environment, or not going for drugs etc... but still there are tones of negative vibes towards people "with brown skin", ... "the more browner, the more danger and things sorta like that... the books is inspired by posters from the WWI and the WWII, and replacing nazists with muslims.. where are the common grounds that we can find a resolutions when you are dealing with Nazists???

Highlander I see that one of our problems is communication. Arguing is indeed pointless when we do not fully understand each other. I apologize for implying that you 'manipulated' the truth, as you clearly did not do so willfully. 'Prizing' does not mean providing. To 'prize' something means to value it highly Hence: The liberty we value highly is not America's gift to the world, it is God's gift to Mankind.
- By: Matt on August 23, 2003
---------
Matt, arguing in this issue is getting pointless, but look at this logical consequence: A> The liberty IS God’s gift to humanity, B> who is providing or PRIZING that gift? C> Who is fighting for prizing the libarity? Answers... United States of America... THEREFORE>>> It is the idea that since Liberty is God’s Gift, America is fighting God’s war, not its own. NOW the war is justified by God's will not Bush's will.. Logical reasoning.. and this reasoning is whispering through whole united churches of America, saying that "This is the God's war".... BUT once again, why I am opposing this words or GWBush... The answer is simple,.. Bin Ladan Saddam Hussein and all other blood drinkers of the world always clamis the same... since its not their war, it is always God's war... I totally agree with you that we must fight for The great liberty, human rights, and equality and justice and as John Lenon says.. a brotherhood of men... but we should remeber that we have tried several times through the UN and It has been successful in most of the cases, remeber though the world has faced a huge increase in MDW's but since 1945 we have not faced another world war, and that always has come through the efforts of all nations via the UN... I also believe of having superpowers as deterrent forces that always keep the balance in the world.. I believe that THE GREAT libarity has successfully completed in many countries, but YOU SHOULD NOT COMPEL IT FORCEFULLY and UNLAWFULLY, People in the middle east have improved in many fields but the American democracy may or may not be the best alterantive for them, through traditions and culture, there is a big differences between the american life and eastern life... and GOD KNOWS ABOUT these DIEFFRENCES as well... so we must not call any of the cultures in both sides as evil or satanic (Bin Ladan calls American way of life satanic which is bullshit)... what that will bring peace, liberity and equality ( if we really need them!) is understanding and our peaceful efforts, and mutaul communication, as I said back to my country Iran, over 75% are willingly love to have positive relation with the united States (including me myself) but back to the media and movies.. " we are just uncivilized camel-milk drinkers who do not wash themselves and always readlly to go and scream death with anyone whom the Imams say"... this image is absolutly wrong and insulting... and once again back to media, there is no effort to show the good sides of life here... Since first constitutional revolution in Iran(1906) our people are gradually compeleting the way of modernism and I am sure in very near future the way will be compeleted... Amazingly enough, though the anti-segregation in West started in 1918( England) Iran's first counstitution was offering equal righ for men and women regardless any races or backgrounds... and IT IS NEVER BEEN TOLD ANYWHERE IN WESTERN MEDIA...

"The liberty we prize is not America’s gift to the world..." This is the EXACT OPPOSITE of what you said he claimed. And of course we should be fighting for greater human rights. (I'm not sure how Human Rights are distinct from Liberty - perhaps you could explain) There are differences of opinion as to how best to fight for liberty/human rights, especially between the Left and the Right.

" Gorge W. Bush State of the Union address (January 29, 2002):.....Once again, this nation and all our friends are all that stand between a world at peace, and a world of chaos and constant alarm. Once again, we are called to defend the safety of our people, and the hopes of all mankind. And we accept this responsibility.’ ‘In all these efforts, however, America’s purpose is more than to follow a process – it is to achieve a result: the end of terrible threats to the civilized world. All free nations have a stake in preventing sudden and catastrophic attacks. And we’re asking them to join us, and many are doing so. Yet the course of this nation does not depend on the decisions of others.’ ‘The liberty we prize is not America’s gift to the world, it is God’s gift to humanity. We do not know – we do not claim to know all the ways of Providence, yet we can trust in them, placing our confidence in the loving God behind all of life, and all of history...." Gorge W. Bush State of the Union address (January 29, 2002) Ok Matt go and read it but ..It is the idea that since Liberty is God’s Gift, America is fighting God’s war, not its own. But doesn’t it follow from this line of reasoning that human rights are God’s gift too, so that we should be waging a war on its behalf as well?

Highlander What is your responsibility to "to report everything correctly and not manipulated" I looked for your quote of Bush, and this is what I found: "Those brave men and women [who fought in the American revolution] were only certain of the cause they served — the belief that freedom is a gift from God and the right of all mankind." http://www.skywrighter.com/news/2003/0711/1president.asp You used quotes, to directly quote him. Where/when did he say what you have accused him of saying?
- By: Matt on August 22, 2003
---------
For AM-Guy... 1st*-The news media can not report on what is hot happening, but they are responsible to report everything correctly and not manipulated... 2nd**, I do not follow any religions but you tell me if millions of people chant "God is great" .. Isn't it the same as hymn and church songs, when a group of people stand and sing.. God.. God.. God is good, God.. God..God is great, So how come it is ok, for Pres. Bush stands in the congress like Muses, and announces "Freedom.. is a gift from God to America (yeah right, just to America!) and it is the gift from America to other nations"... so that means that ..United States of America is the promise land and Mr. Bush is the new representative of God, so you tell me what is the difference between this guy or Khamenei, Khomeini? all of them claming that they are the representatives of God or Allah or any other kind of metaphysical power? why everybody personalizing this God for its own purposes and benefits? 3rd***, but anyways, what are the common grounds that nations can sit together and SOLVE these problems? I really want to enjoy my life and as a citizen of the world, you and Me and you want to travel all around, but look, I can not go anywhere.. there is always problems, wars, terrorism, patriot acts, prejudice, hate... Are we really looking for a solution or we just want to defend ourselves at any price? I guess there was a common ground, which never taken serious but United States of America, and That's the UN.. US never pay enough for the peace process, while US do not pay its 1 billion dollars debts to UN for the sake of peace, They spend over 280 billion dollars just as annually budget of the Ministry of Defense.. for purpose of developing new machine guns, and MDW... Then how could you possibly claim that you are seeking peace? US did not listen to the UN and went to Iraq .. How you could you guarantee that next time China attacks Taiwan? Russia go to Ukraine, for the sake of self-defense .. they do not need UN either..

American Guy, Your absolutely right. There's no doubt that there's anti-American sentiment in the Arab World, Latin America, Europe, Africa, most parts of Asia and of course Iran. There's no doubt about that whats so ever. But when you state ignorant comments such as this "Well actually, the last time I was in Tehran that was exactly what was hapening. And it was just a little bit frightening to have to drive through it on the way to the airport. 24 years ago I ran away from it, today it is here. It's high time we start defending ourselves!" then your ignoring the root of that problem. I know as an American you wish to defend yourself. Well as Iranians and people of the world we equally wish that defense and that freedom from persecution and exploitation. However, we aren't the most powerful country in the world. We don't have the luxury of preventing the US from changing our government when it wishes or putting up pawns as our leaders. We don't have the strength to make sure that America treats the world on the the same footing that it treats Israel or at least persecute human rights abuses equally across all countries and continents. But your right, America needs to defend itself. Only remember that as a product of America "defending" itself, you have Saddam Hussein who was placed into power, and Osama bin Laden who was backed by the CIA, and Idi Amin who supported pro-western agenda, and the Shah of Iran who massacred thousands, etc...

The news media can not report on what is not happening! Khodafez

No I am not mad at anyone, I am trying to bring this issue to everyone's attention that "the difference and circumstances" around "middle east" is different that what is drawn in media and it is miles away from the reality. and still I see no matter how much I try, there is still judgment and misunderstanding. I am blaming all of those criminals you called and any other bastards that is threatening humans prosperity. I still see that my request to bringing peace to all is considering as supporting those bastards. But I am looking to a resolution not a pain-killer for a while. Let us put it in this way, I do not believe anyone in United States think of Germans as criminals, but remember just during 1939-1945, over 6 millions Jews were massacred, 1/3 of Polish population were killed, and add 20 millions Russian, and Human being was suffering from a mass murdering and wars, and at the end of a 6-year war, which finished with an extraordinary bomb ( A-bombs in Japan which killed over 145,000), in total it costs over 40 million living souls, and the whole Europe was destroyed or badly damaged but No one treated, treats or will treat Germans like terrorists, let us back to Middle East, from any time you wanna call it, the number of causality is not even comparable to WWII. ( for instance, less than 1500 in Israel-Pal crisis so far) so showing like there are wars in every corner of middle east is WRONG. I live in Tehran and except for a few demonstrations for democracy, there is no sign of violence, and I am wondering how come you can call me an "ignorant moron" who will do anything imams tell you or whatever, What Imams, if you Americans are deaf that people in Iran are yelling for democracy, then there is no point to discuss, You are just accusing and you do not give any chance to defend, Once again I AM DEFENDING DEMOCRACY NOT BASTARDS... . If we really want a prosper planet, we need to understand the roots of problems before judging them... If you really want to help freedom, democracy in middle east, see goodies and talk about goodies too, Back to your country If I call a Scottish man English that will be a problem, but in your perspective "All from ME are terrorists, ignorant morons or suicide bombers"... No one calls Brazilians cops who kill over 2000 street kids, criminals or no one is looking for the roots of mass massacre in Sierra Leon, but everybody see that there are problems here in Middle East, This is the way that CNN sees the world... and thats how they are commercializing news... by this, they just intoxicating minds and brings more differences between us...

Highlander, if you want to be mad at someone, be mad at bin Laden. If you want to blame someone for making Westerners think Arabs are a bunch of backward vile bastards who murder innocent children, then blame Arafat, and Hamas, and Al Aqsa brigade leaders. Don't blame Fox and CNN. They just report what is happening. If you want to be pissed off that Americans think you're a bunch of ignorant morons who will do anything the imams tell you to do, then blame the hateful bastards who attacked the aid workers in Baghdad this week. Blame them and join us in defeating the murderous bastards and bringing prosperity and freedom to your region. Than we will see that our media was wrong about most of you. But as of right now you are just yelling into the wind.

A few Clarifications for the American Guy... 1st I do not know if you are American or Iranian but you defiantly do not know Persian language, why? because the people u "ran away" from they did not "Screamed" "Allah Jihad Jihad Allah" they were chanting for democracy, and they mottos were "Independence, Liberty, and republication" which is totally different that "Allah, Jihad..", this is one of the problems most of people who live in West do.."Overgenealizing"....and what is an over generalizing act?... it means you just want to escape from the problem without solving it, Iranians have different life style than people in Israel, Algeria and even Iraq.. Believe me that the differences between Iran and Iraq is bigger than the Q and the R at the ends of their names... and basically you can not compare "Orange" with "Apple", so when you over-generalize problems and talking about" Middle East Crisis" that is wrong... Think Globally BUT Act LOCALLY. and because England and Germany are in a same region why you can not blame English for Nazis crimes in Second world war.. there are over 20 countries in so-called Middle East, but there are over hundreds of cultures which they have their own problems and YOU MUST approach them INDIVIDUALLY... 2nd in row: Permission to Sue IRI, Yes, you have the right to sue IRI, as well as any nations, How come Pres. Bush goes to Japan or Korea and apologizes those nations because of things which is done in past But why there is no freaky apology from any of presidents to what they have done to Iranians... why all media in the States, Europe anywhere trying to show the bad images of Iran, for instance, go to lonely planet dot come and see the pictures they are presenting, all poverty and there is no sign of any developments, It seems that you get off the airplane and then you get on a Camel, why none not even one of these freaky media talks about this fact that " Iran's revolution was about having democracy", otherwise why millions of people went on streets and chanted.. why none of these media that about the metamorphic state of these revolution? Yes you can sue IRI, but PLEASE in your media do not image the poor people of many nations as wild and uncivilized who do suicidebombing and kill and do not wash their hands when they go to washroom... it is the high time to bring media , movie produces, writers into courts, in charge of intoxicating public opinions with wrong information, propaganda against humanity and killing the dignity of millions of innocent people whose crimes just do exist in the minds of media managers and writers, maybe just "Place of Birth"...

Highlander, "DO YOU REALLY THINK THAT PEOPLE IN MIDDLE EAST ARE FIGHTING IN STREETS, and SCREAMING "ALLAH, JIHAD, JIHAD, ALLAH"? Well actually, the last time I was in Tehran that was exactly what was hapening. And it was just a little bit frightening to have to drive through it on the way to the airport. 24 years ago I ran away from it, today it is here. It's high time we start defending ourselves! I think Americans are a lot smarter than you give them credit for. Would you sue the Madrasas as well? Do we have your permision to sue the IRI for the lies they spread which are 1000 times more dishonest than anything reported by US media? Can you drop this as leaflets over all of the Arab and Arabized nations? Somehow I don't think the tiny little pea brained terrorists take this kind of stuff into acount. And lets just say they manage to hold off on anything major till after the election so that Dean wins. Then another attack the size of 9/11 or even worse takes place. The public would demand that Dean hold the perpetrators and the nations who harbor and finance them accountable. Ther would be little difference in the long run. If Dean were to fail to act, in just 4 more years we would have a president that made ol' Dubya look like a pussy cat.

Once again a bus filled with civilians, women, children, toddlers, babies in strollers, travelling along in Jerusalem was blown up by some asshole who decided he or she had nothing better to do than kill themselves as long as they could take as many Israeli civilians as possible with them.
