Online polls are deceiving

Look how different an online poll could be with a real scientific poll:

2. In general, would you like to see George W. Bush re-elected to another term as president?
  Online Scientific
Yes  19% 44%
No  78% 50%
Don't know  2% 6%

Online polls are only good to see what type of audience a certain website has. In this case it is clear that Newsweek is mostly read by liberals. Or just it means conservatives are less tech savvy to surf the internet!

What does "Scientific" means? It was done by "Newsweek". Basically polls reflect the public opinion for specific subjects but statistical and mathematical methods use for analysing polls do not necessary scientific. "Science (Webster online dictionary): knowledge or a system of knowledge covering general truths or the operation of general laws especially as obtained and tested through scientific method b : such knowledge or such a system of knowledge concerned with the physical world and its phenomena"... Polls are very objective studies...
