The League of Combatant Clerics

It is the translation by the Economist for "Rohanioon-e Mobarez." It sounds so funny in Engilsh:

ٍMonday, an official of the president’s own party, the League of Combatant Clerics, said it would not boycott the elections.

I try to translate these kinds of terms on my Dutch website and I had to laugh out loud because of the result. In Dutch I came up with: 'Verbond van strijdvaardige Geestelijken' which sounds even more ridiculous. ;-)
