Popularity Boost

It's a proven fact that whoever stands up against Ayatollah Khamenei, will gain a major popularity boost. So I think the recent letter by the protesting MPs to the leader could also be seen in this way.

Because they have already said they plan to continue their efforts to reform the system, from outside the official power structre and from within the society and through different NGOs and if the allow them, through political parties. Therefore they'll need to regian people's trust and support before they are really sent out of the power in a few months.

I have only one question for the Iranian Armed Forces!! How could you salute or stand in attention in front of a Mullah who has never put a uniform on his dirty body or who has never hold a gun in his corupt to defend Iran? What is wrong with your brain? I will rather DIE than salute an Arab who invaded my coutry. Shame on you all Army/Navy/AirForce personnel who have no guts. We can tell you have been druged. God help you....

Could someone please circulate the letter on the net? That seems like basic web journalism to me.

Khatami will go down in history as the most spineless jellyfish in history. A man who only a few days ago was claiming that he wouldn't even allow one disqualification by the guardian council is now exhorting people to turn out to vote for the regime's handpicked yes men. how shameful! in my view he's more dangerous to freedom and democracy than the conservatives. at least we know what they're all about and where they stand, whereas khatami is a wolf in sheep's clothing.
