Shargh paper closed down

Yaas-e No and Shargh, two major reformist papers have just been closed down by the judiciary. People say that it was because of the publishing of the frank letter by reformist MPs to Khamanei.

- Rooydad reports that the editor and publishers have been kept inside the building.
- Still no news from western news agancies.
- Omid Memarian, a Tehran-based Journalist, has more.
- Reuters and AFP have the report now.
- Rouydad, a website close to the main reformist party, is now said to be blocked for Iranians inside the country, BBC Persian reports.

Hi hoder, nice blog. Quick off-topic question: How might the future government of Iran affect the reform movement within Iran? Is there much carryover in your opinion?
