Wir sind im Horgen
We are in Zurich, Switzerland in a small village called Horgen. The place we reside and I now write from face the Zurich lake. It's just stunningly beautfiul.
Yesterday afternoon we went for a walk aruond and saw some amazingly beautiful, modern houses with huge windows facing the lake. Our friend here said they are at least worth 2 million Francs.
I love the way people in Eroupe care about design in the whole.

Mr. Khadada. Thanks for quoting me about the mistakes. but to be honest with you, it was not your correction of his mistakes that escalated to me calling Hossein's writing "childish", I did not call it childish because of a poor grammar or whatever, the nature of his writing is childish, a mixture of his desires, a typical superiority complex of Iranians, and representing a false picture of Iranian people, to whoever read his work. After about 3 years of living in a Western culture, and a visit to a Europe, he should not dare to compare Toronto to Zurich, or even Toronto to his hometown, Tehran. I don’t mind people express their opinions freely about whatever they want, but I am opposing "Representing" a generation or a group of people as he openly expresses it over and over, (i.e. Telling people about Madonna like no one else in Iran knew about her but him. His judgment to his people is ill, degrading and damaging and his understanding of the western cultures is almost illusion and not polished. I guess if you dare to represent your people, you should put more effort to make a good image of them (do not get me wrong, I am not a nationalist), My personal opinion is more like..People (all around the world) react and behave in the same fashion, under the same circumstances, so judging them under conditional circumstances may and will lead towards an untrue understanding of the nature of problems. People really do not need a guardian to tell them what is wrong or what is right. Iran is a factory of stormy changes, because every single of us (whether in power or not) think and behave like, “I know everything about it and the rest don’t have a damn clue”. A typical “third world” country of too many chiefs and not enough Indians. Just stop it, get along with your life and teach yourself about anything you want but politics. Politics is for people with hopes and no clue of how to do any things about it, in a word, for countries with oil, just to be busy with political issues and forget about everything else.

I have fond memories from Zurich and Horgen; as I have stayed there a few times. Please continue writing about your experience, and let me relive those trips through your writing.

Oh oh Mr. Automatic Wanka! I guess my correction of Hossein's few mistakes initiated a whole chain of corrections. I am sorry that a small friendly reminder escelated to you calling Hossein's writing "childish". May I quote you?-- "Not wrong but better using "large" instead of "huge" to describe windows. "-- Here you should use: "...better TO USE...".
About your correction of Franc back to Frank. Oh dear! The Swiss currency is a NAME, and you don't change names! A Russian Ivan does not become John when he moves to England, nor does a British Pound become paund when a German speaker writes it! Currency names stay constant, as do personal names. Swiss Franc has been the currency of that country for over two hundred years, and frankly, the Frank tribe really had nothing to do with it, nor did a chap called Frank.

Besides your article sounds childish and has no value, the following mistakes are shining in it, I hope you won't delete my comment and block me, I am writing from a University in Canada, so if you block this IPS address, you will lose lots of readers, anyway, It gets to my nerves when you divided Iranian people who pronounce "s" at the end of "Chapters" or not, you make same mistakes as every Iranian does. Here are your obvious mistakes, a native speaker can double them, in a second: 1- We are in Zurich, Switzerland in a small village called Horgen, It should be like "We are at Horgen, a small village near Zurich (everybody knows that Zurich is in Switzerland, so you don’t need to say it).2- "The place we reside" You don’t reside there forever, so you must use "Present Continuous" Tense form... 3- "and I now write from face the Zurich lake", you probably never use "Present Continuous", try to learn it, it is powerful. It should be "Now, I am writing..." Also "the Zurich lake" should be the Lake of Zurich. 3- I see you have corrected "Last afternoon" to "yesterday afternoon", great job, Thank you. 4- Usually it is better you say " we went for a walk" not "a walk around".. a walk is a noun, "walk around" is a verb, hence, you can not add "a" and "an" to it . 5- Not wrong but better using "large" instead of "huge" to describe windows. "Huge" is normally for volume, things like a huge elephant. 6- "Our friend here said they are at least worth 2 million Francs"... This is totally awful.. it should be "Our friend (here is not needed) said, the houses(instead of they) worth at least 2,000,000 FranKs(SW) not Franc(you are not French, you write in English, 7- "I love the way people in Europe care about design in the whole" to me it sounds totally a Persian expression which is translated to English, At least tell what kind of "Design" you mean. ... and more

"Our friend here said they are at least worth 2 million Francs."
1-You already have the Verb "WORTH" in your sentence. Adding "are" is wrong.
2- Instead of "at least" according to the structure of sentence you would better use "more than".
Suggestion:
"Our friend here said they WORTH MORE THAN 2 million Francs."
Enjoy you trip

Hi Hossein;
I guess your command of English is going to deteriorate due to side effect of German Sprache!
Anyhow, just a suggestion; Why don't you put some images of those beautiful houses and villages, etc. This way we can say "Describing a fun is almost half of having fun!"
Cheers

muss das nicht "die Schweiz" sein?
Dear Hossein! I am not trying to be nitpicky, but first of all, you should not say "Last Afternoon..." rather "Yesterday Afternoon" and then, the Swiss currency is Franc.
Have fun in Switzerland. I will be there myself in a month.
