Bush and Bin Laden
I have an unusal question for my American readers: Has Bin Laden ever done anything in the past four years that has actually harmed Bush's agenda?
He is always there when Bush needs help. This is really wierd.

Laden died in the first few weeks of the bombing of those bunkers in the Afghan mountains. Saddam Hussein used doubles and so does Al Qaeda and so does the CIA.

It's not so surprising. Bush's policies are the best recruiting tool bin Laden could ever hope for.

Funny that few people have truly comment on the actual question. The question was "Has Bin Laden ever done anything in the past four years that has actually harmed Bush's agenda?" If one considers Osama as the "prime" terror suspect and that the insurgency in Iraq is partially due to foreign fighters from Osama groups then I believe you could content that the insurgency in Iraq had damaged the Bush agenda. To comment on other statements in this forum from individuals who are not of American decent or more appropriately, have a vested interest in America would be inappropriate. I prefer to just say unless you live here you truly have no idea on our politics, history, or philosophies. On the other hand it is readily apparent we do have a few people here who are American but obviously too young to truly understand the world we live in. Ahh to be young, foolish and ignornat again.

Obviously the Bush/Bin Laden relationship is a symbiosis. They, and each of their extreme constiuencies, feed off one another. Comment by Nik on 31 Oct. is right on in that the common folk of the U.S. just aren't interested enough to not be fooled again and again. Some people just don't want to think.

My God! I've got it! The US actually has OBL in captivity, and has conditioned and trained him to come out with these tapes whenever necessary to remind the public about Al Qaeda, etc. Brilliant!

I think that you have a good point. Every time Bin Laden appears, it just reminds the American public of 9/11 and Bush uses (abuses) the occasion to maintain the fear level and deflect attention away from his incompetence. I honestly believe that Bin Laden wants Bush to be re-elected. Bush is the best recruiting tool that he could ever hope for.
