When China supports Californian separatists
Picture this: China invites some radical separatists in exile from Alaska, Cascadia, California, Hawaii , Texas and Puerto Rico to a conference titled 'New America: Towards a more diverse political structure.'
In a one-day event, they provide analysis and solutions to the current situation in the U.S. in which the decision about how to distribute the wealth and knowledge produced in these rich states is made by politicians elected by the entire population of the United States, including states such as Idaho and Wyoming.
Then, after a few months, you see different websites and satellite TV channels, etc. being launched here and there everyday by indirect funds from the Chinese State Department. Then, all of a sudden, you see protests and riots in those states, over a cartoon published in Washington Post allegedly insulting the life-style and values of Northern Californians.
How would the FBI, NSA, and CIA would react to all this?
Now, back to the real world, take a look at this event at the right-wing think-tank American Enterprise Institute, titled 'The Unknown Iran: Another Case for Federalism?' and check out the participants' biographies. Almost all from provinces with different ethnic origins such Azerbaijan, Baluchestan, and Khuzestan.
Then, check out what has happened in Azerbaijan province in Iran this week and why the newspaper that has published a cartoon is temporarily shut down.
I think Iran's intelligence system is doing what NSA would do in a similar situation. What do you expect? To let China separating California?

China no plan and no strength to supports Californian separatists !
we can't supports any separatists at other countries !
but a lot of separatists at China are supporting by U.S. and Japan ,especially Japan!

First off -- realize that your scenario is unrealistic, and this is crucial to understanding America. Though the Chinese government views any ethnic Chinese as only "temporarily overseas Chinese", Chinese-Americans and Taiwanese-Americans do not view themselves this way at all. They see themselves as Americans, period. I know because I grew up with them as my best friends (along with Iranian-Americans, I'll add), amongst other "minorities". One of the most fascinating concepts in the world, apparently, is how all these people from different backgrounds live together in harmony in America. It's no suprise to me. It's America's very culture itself, which is one of acceptance, integration, freedom and national pride. We are a nation of immigrants, immigrants who have made and continue to make America great. Long live America and the immigrants who have made it great!

what is not surprising is the timing of these so called demonstrations. when the US threatens to attack Iran, even by nukes. when US government keeps expanding its funds for "democracy" movements in Iran. in reality it is all for this. destroying Iran as a nation. supporting extremists and setting up camps outside of the nation and hiring foreign mercenaries to do their dirty job for them. but they will fail, because Iranians never bow or subject themselves to bullying and foreing manipulation and propaganda.
long live Iran, and Iranians.

In fact Mr. Riggi was a Member of Parliment in Iran during the Shah from Zahedan. He comes from big clan which now one of them in middle of fight with IRI. At his age, some would think he would come out like Ardeshir Zahedi and Support the people.

Different from what? Interesting choice of words there, Hoder...

It seems that you are an excellent expert in not only China and the USA issues, but also Iran!

Well written :)
hopefully the more conferences they held, the more they understand the wrong path they've taken.

Another analogy.
Imagine an outbreak of mass demonstrations and a widespread work stoppage in the U.S. Imagine it is in response to proposed legislation that appears intolerant of the plight of the Hispanic community in the country.
Now imagine that Mexico reaches over the border to try to help to these hispanic minorities in the U.S. Imagine that the demonstrators wave Mexican flags, alarming many red-white-and-blue conservatives in the U.S.
In fact, imagine that Mexico's president Vincente Fox follows up by tinkering directly in U.S. politics. Imagine that he takes a tour of California, Utah, and Washinton states to support specific pro-hispanic politicians and legislation in the U.S.
What would the CIA and the NSA and the FBI do about that!
Well, it is happening now, so we can wait and see. I am sure the three-letter intelligence agencies will do nothing of consequence.
Pandering legislation, mass demonstrations, incendiary flag waving, tinkering by foreign governments, tensions between minorities...
This is business-as-ususal in the U.S. It is an angry mess on all sides. The U.S. lets its political chaos all hang out, dirty laundry for everybody to see. But that mess is what makes the country great.
I don't understand what is going on in Iran. Is that what we are seeing there the same?
