Att: Journalists

Someone please asks Ahmadinejad if all his promises are like the one he made on his blog to write at least one post per week?

I think he has more important things to do, like being President. He's not an unemployed loser who has time to sit in front of a computer all day and "post blogs". He's got a lot of shit to clean - as opposed to you, I guess you have a lot of shit to write.

Perhaps all that globe-trotting cuts into his blog time. Separate subject: I just finished reading 'We Are Iran', which is how I found out about your blog. I'm fairly new to the blog-sphere; before this much of my news and knowledge came to me via major network tv or public radio (and yes I am realizing what a paltry diet that is). Without gushing too much, I wanted to say that I'm pleased to have come across yours and other blogs written by Iranians. Until I started exploring these blogs, I hadn't realized how much of a barrier mass media could be. Anyhow--glad to have joined your readership.

There are more important things to ask him about and, at any rate, he won't answer. He's conducted quite a charm offensive while here in the U.S. - appearing before the Council on Foreign relations, meeting with religious leaders and granting interviews. Clearly he's tailoring his comments for American consumption: backing away from holocaust denial and aggressive remarks about Israel, without seeming to contradict his previous statements. He is as deft as any American politician at completely dodging questions. Hugo Chavez' UN remarks have also helped Ahmadinejad appear more moderate.
