Did you learn to smoke five minutes before they started rolling? You look like you deliberately wanted to be seen smoking on camera...you know like a 12 year old child...that cigarette looked more uncomfortable between your fingers than a can of beer in the hands of the Dalai Lama. Grow up! Are you 31 or 13?

I really liked the Uvda piece, just sad that not everything is in English because I think more people would enjoy watching it. This kind of communication and opening up, showing real people, is very important.

Amazing! I also listened to your interview with Zamaneh. Interesting. Please continue concentrating on the productive side of your brand of journalism. This is where you shine and prosper. Save your energies from the side issues and in-fighting. We want to see more of this Hossein Derakhshan and less of the angry fighter, even if the fighter fights well and hard. As is evident, you have so much to offer your audiences and world peace; concentrate on it. Good going. Keep it up.

There is a phrase, I cannot quote from the Bahai Writings, He whose words outnumber his deeds, in truth his death is better than his life. As a former professional journalist, I think we, bloggers and commenters all need to remember this

Sometimes it is difficult to change the mentality of people, when they are drastically encouraged by media to see the things as black and white; Just follow The talkback section of Haaretz, almost all respondants start to guard against the claim that Iran is a little-just a little-free country in the region since we have mullas in power; and Iran deserves not to be compared with isreal -'a highly civilized nation'- doesn,t it ring some bells when you were in Iran, Hossein? However,I didn't write it to make you disappointed, hossein.I just wanted to remind you that it is going to be a difficult campaign to change these simplistic views enforced by a long-lasting bias in both places.

Thanks, Hossein, for the very informative video. I appreciated very much to see you smile, hear you talk ... and laugh :-) Keep going on. Mevazebe khodet bash and every thing best. @Yaniv Congratulations for your view! The most important thing is to give up believing all the nasty propaganda one gets overwhelmed with about Iran in the interest of all the lunatic warmongers. They do not act and not speak in the interest and desires of the people, neither in the USA, nor in Israel ... nowhere! I myself never could believe the propaganda, it always was only too intentional to me. I learned a lot and happend to love this country and in couple of weeks I'll be visiting it ... with wide open heart.

How come so many people want peace, but there voice isn't heard? Peace can come through the internet. I take on myself finding 3 Iranian friends - e-mail buddies. If every one of us just does that... you know the rest. even without that cause, I'd like to learn about Iran as much as I can. anyone care to join? leave me your e-mail...
