These are my recent articles published in The Guardian. You can leave
your comments at the end of each articles:

Stop bullying Iran
The Islamic Republic is worth defending. Even at its worst, it is way
better than anything the US or anyone else can bring to Iran.

Fight for your sites
Technology can beat internet censorship, but in some countries - such
as Iran - lawyers may be a better option.

Is Ahmadinejad really an Iranian, or is he some Arab who has taken over the country and convinced everyone that he is the missing 12th Imam? Remember, Hitler was originally Austrian, not German, but painted himself as more German than the Germans. It is not characteristic of true Iranians to wage war upon Jews.

Hi, I read your article on the guardian, but it was too cluttered to comment. I fully agree with you that this is time we defend our country. enough of being manipulated into stupidity by the neoconservative agenda! also, I thinkk all accusations about your "economic" motivations are ludicrous! It's a typical neoconservative style of defamation of voices of reason and truth. I will be defending Iran too, despite all that I dislike in the present regime!

shapour: You are mentioning Iranians living abroad. I must admit that as non-Iranian - but informing herself intensively since soon I will go to Iran - I am just upset and also disgusted about the "passionate" kind of way "some" of them and in their blogs are just supporting and feeding the western negative propaganda and image spread about this land and its people! I don't want to name them, but I am missing there even the slightest spark of LOVE for their country and people at home ... instead of it nothing but spitefulness. Seems to me, that I myself feel more love and respect for this country and its people as these wouldbe-patriotes do! What are they concretely doing for their country? Nothing good and worth to be mentioned, I mean! I can't understand this, neither intellectually nor emotionally! Fortunately I have met other blogs, for exampl Nima with his "A persians perspective" or "Neo-resistance" by Naj. And so on. And I fully agree for example with Raghee Omaars recent conclusion in his BBC-documentary: There has to be change. But it has to come from this people themselves ... from nobody else and not from outside! Fortunately I'm not alone!

i have to say it more precisely: nobody from OUTSIDE can bring something better to iran than the islamic republic. just the iranians themselves. and when i say "iranians", i include also those living abroad. and i repeat that the islamic republic is definitely NOT the best for iran. to give just one tiny example: the shiraz vines are cultivated now in australia, france and where not, but since 28 years not in its origin iran. (of course human rights are much more important but this example also demonstrates how something GENUINE iranian is being razed. by the way, i dont endorse a return to the states of the time of the shah when only ONE party was allowed.)

i dont agree that the islamic republic is worth to be defended. IRAN is worth defending. and the USA (or anyone else) wont bring something better to iran than the islamic republic. they dont WANT to bring something better (for the iranians), just something different (in favour of their interests). but iran is worth defending.
