Where is John Pilger when New Statesman published NED-embeded anti-Iran propaganda of the Amnesty International

I have to say I'm very disappointed that my favourite British weekly, the New Statesman, has started selling its credibility to the U.S. government's embedded 'activists' at the Amnesty International. Especially after seeing its first instalment which was about the NED-backed or at least NED's favourite labour activist in the whole world (Mansour Ossanlu or Osanlou or Osanloo) who, as you can guess, is from Iran.

Interestingly, the author of the article, David Cockcroft, has never written for the News Statesman before and has not disclosed that as the secretary general of the NED-funded International Transport Federation (in addition to funds though the Solidairty Center) has followed Osanloo's case for the past couple of years.

This week it was about China and I'm sure when in one of the coming weeks it's about Venezuella, John Pilger would be very angry at them.

To be honest, even though I really admire Pilger's unconditional objection to foreign intervention, i wonder why he doesn't apply the same standards when it comes to Iran. Is he too frightened of the 'Islamist extremist' label that the Foreign Office's embedded 'leftist' and 'activists would put on him?

If that's the case, it's entirely understandable, but it would reveal a major inconsistency in his positions. But I'm not ruling out that he is not knowledgeable enough about what is really happening in Iran.

P.S: Would it be lovely if the Amnesty International would take me to court because I said they have been hijacked and utilized by the Foreign Office, NED etc.? I am way ready for that.

Dear Hossein, who are the US government's embedded activists at Amnesty and what have they done? How has Amnesty's overall impartiality been undermined? How did you find Amnesty's assessment of 2007 in the US,found at: http://thereport.amnesty.org/eng/regions/americas/usa

Typical for you not to answer some very valid questions, liike if ITF is so bad then what the heck are you doing in England? Of course, I know AIPAC's lawyers ran you out of the U.S. so you have to go wherever you can so people will listen to you. What is your point about Osanloo being backed by NED? Is he a turncoat who only gives a hoot about himself and not a "true" labor activist? Why rag on a poor man that has given his life for workers and is rotting in jail? And...what makes you think Amnesty is not taking any NED money? --------- • Hoder: You seem to be misinformed and to have a good way of twisting my words. First, I'm not banned from the US. AIPAC has nothing to do with anything against me. I have a lawsuit filed in Canada against me by an employee of a U.S. think-tank that is close to Israel NED has nothing to do with Amnesty, but NED and its affiliates have funded the labour groups in or about Iran and very likely Osanlou who is evidently politically backed by NED and its affiliates, have also got financial backing from them as well. But for the latter point, I have no evidence and have never claimed to have. Amnesty and NED and Human Rights Watch and numreous other 'pro-democracy' groups always back the same people in Iran and that is not just an accident.

Well, Hoder, I think you think a little too highly of yourself. Amnesty is not interested in you one iota. And may I ask what you are doing in NED infested, colonialist ENgland? Getting a degree? Oh, I see. And surely Osanloo is your favorite labor activist isn't he? Or are you ready to throw him under the bus too? -------- • Hoder: Thank you. But please come back when you are less angry and are able to cuonter my arguments or provide evidence to prove that i'm wrong.
